FSC MARINE PLYWOOD
Wolstenholme International was one of the first companies to offer a FSC certified Okoume marine plywood in the North American market. The Okoume specie is used extensively in wooden boat building for its ideal strength and durability-to-weight ratio, and is grown only in the equatorial west coast of Africa.The Joubert Group is proud to follow in a family tradition of quality, a trait that has unquestionably contributed to their reputation in Europe and in the North American market. In close collaboration with their harvesting partners, the priority of eco-certification is exhibited in each stage of production in their Okoume marine plywood. Joubert has, and always will have, total commitment to the preservation of the environment.
FSC BALTIC BIRCH
Wolstenholme International offers customers a diverse range of FSC certified Baltic Birch plywood options to suite any application. We maintain inventory of FSC certified Baltic Birch in our east coast and west coast warehouse distribution facilities, and through our network of distributors around the country.Russia currently has over 25 million hectares of FSC certified forest land, which is second only to Canada with 38 million hectares, and comprises over 18 percent of the worlds FSC certified forests. This vast resource of FSC certified raw material will ensure our customers that they can count on a long term, stable, and sustainable source of supply.
Our FSC Mixed Credit Baltic Birch panels are produced with no added urea-formaldehyde resins, which qualify for additional LEEDS points, and offer superior bonding strength to Urea based glues more commonly used in hardwood plywood. Baltic Birch is certified to meet the strict emissions standards set forth by the California Air Resource Board (CARB).
